Welcome to Freshwalks as we head to the Lower Wharfe Valley just outside Harrogate so the Yorkshire business community can take its networking safely on the move.

"Almscliffe Crag is a large outcrop of Millstone Grit which stands above the Lower Wharfe Valley to the south of Harrogate. Created by the erosion of softer surrounding stone the distinctive shape of Almscliffe Crag with a large groove running through the middle can be seen for miles around, and itself provides amazing views across the Wharfe Valley. Just half a mile from the pretty village of North Rigton with its charming pubs the crag adds a great feature to a walk." Visit Harrogate

Our route will start from The Square & Compass in North Rigton at 10:30. Walkers are asked to arrive from 10:15 and we'll start the walk promptly. We expect to return around 13.30 and we'll head inside for some optional food and refreshments.

Public transport: Possible though involves a fair walk to the start of the route. Please take the 09:29 train from Leeds to arrive in Weeton 09:49. The station is approx 25 mins walk from the walk meeting point. We should be able to organise lifts and car-sharing.

What should you bring?

You will need to bring some drinking water and a packed lunch is optional for a halfway stop. Walking boots or shoes are essential and take a layered approach to clothing including waterproofs. More detailed information will be sent out in the week before the walk.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you're fine as you are. We keep track of the attendees and check you off on arrival. However, if you have a confirmation email saved onto your phone, this may be useful on the rare occasion that there are any issues.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

If you can no longer make it, please be sure to contact us with at least 24 hours notice. We try to be as accommodating as possible and understand that work commitments may pop up. Therefore, if you do need to transfer your ticket to a colleague, please contact us with their full details so we can organise the transfer in good time including the signing of the relevant legal disclaimers.
