Please join us as North Reading lights up purple to bring awareness for Alzheimer’s and Dementia on Sept 21st at the Gazebo on the Town Common at 5 P.M.
The town of North Reading has officially declared September 2025 to be Alzheimer’s Awareness month! As part of the initiative, we’re planning “North Reading Goes Purple” the week of 9/21-9/28. There will be a kickoff ceremony at NR town common, and the gazebo will be lit up purple for the week. A ‘Promise Garden’ will be planted at the gazebo, with colored flowers symbolizing participants’ connection to the disease. There will be free educational events and displays/resources at the senior center and library. Promise Garden flowers are available for residents and businesses to display around town.
