North Pole Express 2022

The North Pole Express is a family tradition in Bloomsburg held annually during Thanksgiving weekend. Enjoy a 1-hour train ride from Bloomsburg to Catawissa with holiday stories, carols, and characters. 

One Caboose car available per ride.  The Caboose seats 15. Call  570-661-1936 to reserve a Caboose.

WHAT IS THE COST?   Tickets are $10 for children ages 12 and under and $15 for adults. Fees are not included in these prices. Tickets are non-refundable.

DO CHILDREN PAY FOR A TICKET?  Everyone 12 months old or older. Children under 1 that can sit on an adult's lap are FREE!

WHERE DOES THE TRAIN DEPART FROM?  All trains depart from Bloomsburg.

WHERE CAN I PARK?  FREE parking is available nearby.

ARE THE TRAIN CARS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE?  No, but train staff will make every attempt to assist boarding those individuals with walking difficulties.

WHERE DOES THE TRAIN TRAVEL?  The train departs from  Bloomsburg and travels west, towards Danville, for approximately two miles past the Rupert Covered Bridge. It follows the same route on its return trip to Bloomsburg.

​CAN FOOD & BEVERAGE BE BROUGHT ON TRAIN?  No, all food and beverages must be discarded prior to boarding. 

WHAT ACTIVITIES OCCUR ON THE TRAIN? Christmas Carols will be sung and a Christmas story will be read by one of Santa’s helpers. On the return trip Santa makes an appearance and greets children of all ages on board the train.

ARE PHOTOS PERMISSIBLE ON THE TRAIN?  Yes!

CAN YOU RENT THE CABOOSE?  Yes, the cost is $300 and seats 10-15 passengers, depending upon ages.  The caboose is limited to one group per train ride.
