Richard T. Reyes is a native San Diegan and self-taught artist who brings pop culture icons and deep-seeded fears into sharp focus with nothing more than a skillful wielding of a pencil and pen. His graphite, pen, and multi media images are created with a three-dimensional quality that fairly leap from the paper to frighten or amuse viewers. Whether quietly screaming within or laughing without, curators and collectors recognize innate talent that has refined with practice and have supported Mr. Reyes in ever growing numbers.
