North Island Writers Conference, January 16th to 18th

The organizers of the North Island Writers Conference are pleased to announce the 9th annual three-day event beginning Friday, January 16th, at the Courtenay North Island College campus. The keynote speaker is Susan Juby, a faculty member at Vancouver Island University known for her quirky and comedic characters.

The workshops feature sessions by screenplay and short story writer Clair Mulligan and poet Sonner L’Abbe.

We are also planning an open short fiction writing contest on Sunday, the 18th.
