One of the original Pilgrims settled here in the 1600s. British soldiers raided and burned colonists' homes during the American Revolution. More than a century later, the booming population of French Canadian and Portuguese mill workers settling here in the early 1900s resulted in schools and churches being built and businesses locating here. You'll learn all about this and more on a walking tour guided by former Fairhaven Tourism Director Chris Richard, who has lived most of his life in North Fairhaven.
