This adventurous 8-mile out-and-back begins on the rugged Devil’s Path before leaving the trail for a true Catskills bushwhack to the summits of North Dome (3,610 ft) and Sherrill Mountain (3,550 ft). Expect steep ascents, thick forest, and minimal markings—navigation skills are essential. The reward is the wild, remote character of these trailless peaks and the satisfaction of reaching two of the Catskills 35.
