North Berwick Law: Reedmace control

Twenty five miles east of Edinburgh, situated to the south of North Berwick itself and prominently visible from the coastline, North Berwick Law is a well-loved green space with stunning views over the Forth and much history, ancient and modern. In previous visits to this site we have carried out pathwork and ragwort control.

On this visit we will be removing reedmace from the pond area to increase the area of open water to support other plant species and improve the habitat for birds and other aquatic fauna

We encourage volunteers to use our minibus for transport. If you live near this task and wish to make your own way you must ring Debbie on 01313370223 to book a space and for joining instructions.

P lease bring your lunch and wear appropriate footwear (boots or wellingtons) and waterproof outdoor clothing. As we cannot have fires on this site, please bring your own flask if desired.
