Friends of North Augusta Animals will be attending this public "Study Session" regarding Animal Control and future shelter plans. At this time, all planning and content is being coordinated by the city. We can communicate our requests via council, but are not involved directly in the strategic planning.We still are looking for ways for community experts, including FONAA, to be directly involved strategic solutions for welfare of the city's animals. We have advocated for the formation of a "Working Coalition" led by the city, and community member appointees.
We have had several great "baby steps" with greater volunteer access at North Augusta Pound and much improved vet care process. The pound has been notable more clean this month too.
We want to keep the needs of local animals visible and track progress as we make improvements. Thank you everyone!
