For our April, we've been given the opportunity to hold the event at the North Alabama Railroad Museum (the old Chase Nurseries Depot near Alabama A&M - 694 Chase Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811)
The theme of this shoot is Steampunk. Be you a aristocrat, explorer or hobo, this is your chance to be creative. That said, the them is ONLY a suggestion. Vintage classy also works. The museum has a number of vintage train cars and historic buildings (photos to follow).

1. The railroad tracks on the south edge of the museum grounds are ACTIVE. Don't go on them. Period.
2. The museum asks that all professional photographers print and sign the agreement on the web page above. We ask that all photographers participating fill out the agreement, because so many photographers have been published.
3. As the Museum leadership noted: We can’t get into the locomotives, but they can open the buildings/structures and passenger cars. "No guns (fake or real), bloody chainsaws, or tying Sweet Nell to the railroad tracks, Snidely Whiplash."

As always, we will monitor the weather and make announcements of changes or cancellations prior to the event should they be necessary.
Minors under 19 years old are welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The Age of Majority, the age when a person can execute a contract in AL, is 19 so even an 18-year-old must have a guardian present.

ABOUT: The event uses a shoot-out format, so it's not uncommon for one model to start posing with a single photographer and several other photographers join in to shoot from other angles. This format allows for photographers to share techniques, build skills and try things that are out of their comfort zone. The events also allow models to observe other models for techniques and build their skills base. We have found this approach works better than forcing every participant into a rigid structure where everyone gets the same shots on a schedule.
