Friday 16th to Sunday 18th May 2025Cost: £495 per rider / £370 per pillion, based on sharing twin or double rooms.
Following the success of last year's Normandy tour we've arranged a weekend away on some of the finest biking roads in northern France!
We are setting off on Friday morning on the Newhaven - Dieppe ferry. On leaving the ferry terminal, we pick up the coast road heading south along a winding route that follows the spectacular white cliffs and green rolling hills of Normandy.
Our route takes in a coffee stop at the beautiful little seaside town of Veulettes Sur Mer. Suitably refreshed, we continue on to Honfleur which has one of the prettiest harbours in France. Friday evening will be spent in a cosy hotel just a short walk from the historic centre and harbour that’s crammed with cafes and restaurants specialising in seafood – naturally!
Saturday’s ride takes in the nature reserve surrounding the river Seine heading inland. We'll ride around Rouen and break for lunch in the charming village of Lyons la Foret, in the heart of an unspoilt national forest. From here we continue to the historic city of Amiens where we will be staying next to its ancient cathedral. The river Somme flows past our hotel and there are some great walks along the riverbank to stretch our legs after a day in the saddle.
After a leisurely breakfast either in the hotel or at any of the pretty cafes lining the nearby waterways, we head north to the coast and return to Dieppe. There will be plenty of time to stock up on local French wines and cheeses at the hypermarkets before catching the 6 o’clock ferry home.
There are a total of 9 places for bikes and riders. Pillions are welcome.
