What can I expect to see on the tour?

While cruising, lend a hand setting the sails, take a turn at the helm, or simply sit back and enjoy the cruise as the captain points out the highlights of the Harbor. Catch a glimpse of downtown Norfolk and Portsmouth skylines, Battleship Wisconsin, private shipyards, and more. We will pass the Portsmouth Marine Terminal (PMT), home of Dominio Energy’s staging area. The monopiles and other major components of turbines are brought here from Europe and then shipped out to their installation locations. Each monopile is unique, built specifically for the location where they will be installed. We will also get a glimpse of the Fairwinds Landing where the Operations and Maintenance port for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project is going to be built.

You also might see navy ships, tugboats, mega-yachts, and the occasional dolphin! Hear history and fun facts during the first hour on the boat and enjoy the tranquility of sailing during the second hour. Whether you’re a Norfolk local or visiting for the first time, each participant will learn something new about the area on this unique tour.
