Wrap yourself in lush, warm Nordic melodies
Travel to Nordic lands with two touching works by Sibelius that will call to mind the famous serenades of Dvořák and Tchaikovsky, but in a style unique to the famous Finnish master. Enjoy Grieg’s magical ability to illustrate with music in works not unlike his Peer Gynt Suite. Then, violin fireworks: with Pärt’s mesmerizing, extraordinarily difficult work will have you on the edge of your seat. A concert perfect to share with family & friends around the holidays.
Join us in person at the Wortham or from the comfort of your own home.
Masks will be required inside the Wortham if attending this concert in person.
Streaming video will be available to watch through December 12.
This concert is made possible in part by the Houston Endowment, the Brown Foundation, the Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts, the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance, and by supporters like you.
