Nordic Ballads
Crisp Nordic music – with the mysterious sound of ancient myths.
Nordic Ballads weaves forgotten stories and Nordic sagas into a musical universe where past and present meet.
On stage, Faroese-Danish singer Katrina Petersen meets Danish guitarist Andreas Ugorskij and two Estonian musicians: keyboard player Raun Juurikas and saxophonist Villu Veski.
The concert features ballads from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, alongside stories from Estonia – all evoking reflections on the passage of time, myths and human nature.
Arno Kalbus & Satro Drum Orchestra, also from Estonia, will add a primal breath to the evening. Their powerful drumming will transport us into the heart of a Nordic ritual.
In 2026, Nordic Ballads performs at festivals and venues across Estonia, the Faroe Islands and Denmark. In October 2026, Nordic Ballads releases a live album recorded in Tallinn in 2025. The release will be followed by a tour, bringing the ensemble to Nørrebro among other destinations.
