Nonstructural drawing session

Bay Area-based visual artists Harumo Sato and occasional guest Artist(s) are excited to invite kids and adults who eager to use their body to express themselves.

This drawing session is to invite children to be creative and explore their desire to draw. The hosting artists will be their fellow doodlers who eager to learn from the kids and not the other way around. Participants will share a large 3’ x 6’ paper which will become a community artwork!

We will have an about 3’ x6’ sheet of paper to draw. Shoes will be taken off during session.

Please be aware several things below.

1. Your kids’ clothing and shoes will most probably get covered in paint.?. Make sure to bring a changing clothing and towels (Butts wiper is also handy!). Shoes and socks might get painted. Also, I expect kids drawing on themselves with or without intention.

2. Please bring ONE art supply to donate for a session per family. Any materials are welcome. Please make sure that they are child-appropriate. This can be anything – not inly the expected art materials but something from nature, your household, which can be used for making patterns or to paint with for example. What can be an art supply?

3. Parents/caregivers are requested to support kid's adventurous endeavor of creativity. Our experience says that parents clothing and parent themselves get typically messy clothes during the session. Don't wear the good clothing on that day! Bring towels/wet wipes/extra clothes/apron!
