Nonprofit NetWalk with GiGi's Playhouse in Pacific Beach

Join High Five's Nonprofit NetWalk! This free walk is a fun, relaxed, and informal way to connect and network with fellow nonprofit leaders, funders, and Board members.

We will be hosted by GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego, a Down syndrome achievement center that provides 100% free programming for individuals with Down syndrome and their families across San Diego County.

Taking place on the eve of World Down Syndrome Day, this gathering offers a meaningful opportunity to learn more about the impact of GiGi’s Playhouse and the community it serves. In addition to the walk, participants will receive an exclusive tour of the Playhouse led by Site Manager Marissa Chavez and Fundraising and Development Chair Laura Bellizzi. Light refreshments will be available.

We will meet at GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego in Pacific Beach at 11:00 am, then walk along the picturesque Mission Beach-Pacific Beach Boardwalk (Ocean Front Walk), which runs along the coastline between Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. We will enter the boardwalk on Chalcedony Street in Pacific Beach.

Walk Location: Mission Beach-Pacific Beach Boardwalk (Ocean Front Walk)

Who can attend: Anyone in the nonprofit and philanthropic field. Leashed and well-behaved furry friends are welcome to join us on the walk portion only. (Registered service animals welcome in the Playhouse and along the boardwalk!)

Difficulty Level: Easy

Parking: Parking available in the parking lot behind Christ Lutheran Church/GiGi’s Playhouse. From Cass Street, turn right onto Chalcedony Street. The parking lot will then be on your right. Street parking is also available but may be limited.

Trail Details: After meeting at GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego, we will head West down Chalcedony Street toward the Ocean Front Walk (Pacific Beach Boardwalk). We will then walk South down the boardwalk toward Mission Beach as time permits.

The concrete boardwalk is wheelchair accessible and multi-use: walking, running, biking, skating, rollerblading, and leashed-dog friendly. Please be aware of others enjoying the boardwalk during our walk. The busiest spot along the boardwalk is the corner of Misson Boulevard and Garnet Avenue, intersecting with Crystal Pier.
