National Nonprofit Day is in August and I am coordinating a gathering on Sunday, August 16th 12-4pm at Basic City Beer Co.

National Nonprofit Day, and my gathering, is a day dedicated to recognizing the invaluable work and contributions nonprofits do for our communities.

My goal for each nonprofit organization that participates in this market is for them to get their mission, goals, and values out to the community and to raise money from donations/selling items.

My goal for community members attending the Nonprofit Awareness Gathering is for them to learn about organizations in their community. It could be for themselves to use the resources, for them to share learned information with others, or to get hands-on involvement.

All of us spend a tremendous amount of time on social media. I am often sharing posts from nonprofits I follow, hoping someone that follows me might be interested. For some, sharing a post is the only way they know how to get involved. Having a room of nonprofits to walk around to, learn about each of their missions, and how to get more involved is a dream come true - as well as having volunteer opportunities right in front of me, making engagement and sign-up easy.
