Have you ever been interested in how to fabricate sterling silver jewelry and how to solder with a Torch? Well, the time is now to learn the very basics of Metalsmithing including fabricating a piece of Jewelry.
This is a hands on workshop with direct one on one attention. Students will learn how to use a large Butane Torch to fabricate sterling silver jewelry. Students will also be introduced to a fine flamed torch using Propane or Mapp gas. The class emphasizes learning Torch and Flame control along with understanding how to work with silver solder and sterling silver. Students will fabricate 2-3 projects. Concepts of using motorized finishing equipment, and creating Patina on sterling silver will also be covered.
