This workshop will help entrepreneurs understand how to turn a business idea into a clear, usable Business Plan. Participants will learn what goes into a business plan, why it matters, and how to use it to make better decisions, apply for funding, and communicate your vision clearly.
This workshop will walk you through practical tools like the Business Model Canvas (provided during the workshop), market research, and financial projections, with real Alaska-based examples. This workshop is useful for both new and existing business owners who want a clearer roadmap for their business.
** Following the workshop, Alaska SBDC Rural Center Director, Ruth Wolfe, will be available from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm for one-on-one business advising sessions and networking!
By attending this workshop, participants will learn how to:
1. Break down their business idea using the Business Model Canvas to clarify customers, value, costs, and revenue.
2. Understand the key sections of a business plan and what lenders, grantors, and partners look for.
3. Use research and data to define their target market and analyze competitors.
4. Know when and how a business plan is used for loans, grants, and long-term planning.
