12 noon Gather and warm up
12:30pm Capture the Flag Race
Route: Beach Start, paddle north and then make a right hand 180 degree buoy turn, paddle
south past the swim area, then stay to the right of the buoy by the boat landing, go under the bridge between the 2nd. and 3rd. bridge pilings (by the observation deck), right turn back towards the north end, back under the bridge between the 2nd. and 3rd. bridge pilings (by the observation deck), then stay to the left of the buoy by the boat landing, do a 180 degree buoy turn, go under the bridge again between the 2nd. and 3rd. bridge pilings (by the observation deck), right turn back towards the north end, back under the bridge between the 2nd. and 3rd. bridge pilings (by the observation deck), then stay to the left of the buoy by the boat landing, north around the swim area, 180 degree buoy turn at the north end and the paddle south to the flags.
There are 3 flags for the 3 fastest women and 3 flags for the 3 fastest men.
Red=1st
Gold=2nd
Green=3rd
1:30 Social Paddle. Join us for the annual Nokomis SUP costume paddle. We’ll be back on good old Lake Nokomis this year. Meet in the main beach parking area beginning around 1:00pm. We'll get unloaded, costumed up and launch when everyone is ready. So many fun costume ideas begin with a neoprene base layer :). After a spooky spin around the lake and hopefully lots of pictures, we can socialize on shore with hot drinks and snacks. Please reach out with any questions and invite others.
