SAINERINE

- experimental/ noise/ opera/ performance -
Vancouver based artist Sainerine (they/she) performs operatic vocals, experimental sound and the ritual of self-mortification carried out with an industrial staple gun. Alongside their zine manifestos "Bloodletting" and "Mutilation Autonomy", Sainerine is a study of the socio-political interpretations of blood, bleeding, and ultimately, body autonomy. Katherine grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada, attending Catholic school, singing in the church choir and volunteering at blood drives.

My name's Scott. I perform experimental music under the names Reaching Needles and Sheep Skin Rain. I also organize shows in Ottawa under the name Public Display Of Affliction. I've had albums released on various labels around north america. I've played instruments since I was 11 years old and played in various local bands. Performing 3 years as R/N. I've played house parties, festivals, basements, churches, wherever I can plug in. this would be my first time in Hamilton.
