 Formed initially as a DIY 2 piece in 2017, Body Maintenance quickly moved on from its minimal drum machine beginnings into the culmination of post-punk intensity that now permeates from the quartet. On their recently released LP „Far From Here“ they continue to draw on the classic 1980s UK goth motifs, all while preserving an overarching pop sweetness. Body Maintenance evoke an ill-lit tension poised between releases of ethereal delicacy in the style of The Chameleons, Echo and the Bunnymen and The Comsat Angels. Bleak, yet comforting trench coat music that attempts to provide solace in a dark and turbulent world. Vienna debut.
