About this Event
Kate Bishop is a classically trained mezzo-soprano, raised in Denton, Texas. She is a recent graduate from Baylor University, known for her rich tone and exquisite attention to musical detail. Bishop will make her debut at the Lincoln Center in NYC this summer in the operas Maometto II by Rossini, and La Sonnambula by Bellini. Additionally, she is contracted to sing in Dvorak's Rusalka in Philadelphia, as well as the roles of Cherubino and Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Pannonica in Greece this coming July and August. Bishop has previously sung with Really Spicy Opera in Minnesota, collaborating as a mezzo-soprano in their Aria Institute program, as well as with the Taos Opera Institute in New Mexico.
