Cura Contemporary and Véra Restaurant are excited to welcome back Edgardo Cambon and his salsa band "Candela". This dancing event is part of a series of Bay Area shows that include Yerba Buena Gardens (San Francisco), Tressure Island Salsa Festival, and The Freight (Berkeley). Candela will be performing vibrant music that is sure to get your hips swinging on our dance floor! Along with Candela's performance Chiquy Mejia and the Chiqlets will be joining us again! Enjoy an intermission show by the Chiqlets Dance Team and Chiquy Mejia "Dance Like No One is Watching".
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to have a blast, this night guarantees an unforgettable experience!
“Edgardo & Candela,” or simply “Candela,” is a highly energetic Salsa Orchestra that has been a Bay Area staple for over 36 years, making them one of California’s most established salsa bands. Their trademark sound is characterized by powerful horns, a tight rhythm section, and exceptional vocals. The band’s instrumentation includes piano, bass, trombone, sax, flute, guitar, conga drums, bongo drums, timbales, and vocalists. Composed of the Bay Area’s top professional musicians, Candela consistently delivers an incredible musical experience.
Our restaurant will be open for dinner before and during the event. Kitchen closes at 9pm.
