About this Event
This workshop is facilitated by Ujamaa Collective member and staff, Sheba G., representing the Ujamaa Collective's Cooperative Fashion Circle. The experience is rooted in our Eco-Essence Project, which centers on upcycling materials as an act of environmental responsibility, creativity, and future-building.
Together, we explore how small, intentional actions, such as repurposing what we already have, contribute to a safer, more sustainable future for our Planet.
All participants are responsible for bringing a t-shirt that they're ready to reimagine. Whether it carries memories or simply deserves new life, you'll learn accessible cutting and tying techniques that transform it into a sturdy, reusable tote bag.
This is more than a craft workshop. It's a space to gather, reflect, create, and connect. It's fashion as care. It's sustainability as practice.
It's community in action.
All skill levels are welcome. Come as you are. Leave with something useful, beautiful, and made by you.
