Midland Community Theatre presents No Room For a Picture on the Blank Wall, opening October 24th and running through November 15th, directed by Pam Keel.
This powerful drama follows photographer Peter and his wife Rosemary as Peter begins experiencing the early signs of dementia. When Peter can no longer see one of his oldest photographs or remember taking it, mysterious visitors from the “Memory Removal Company” begin dismantling his world piece by piece.
While David R. Remschel’s moving piece deals with the difficult subject of Alzheimer’s disease, the play ultimately celebrates love, family bonds, and the human spirit. Keel brings sensitivity to this touching story about how we face life’s greatest challenges together.
As part of MCT’s 80th season, this production offers audiences a deeply emotional theatrical experience that resonates with anyone who has been touched by memory loss. The play reminds us that even in our darkest moments, love and connection remain our strongest defenses against forgetting what matters most.
