No Place To Grow Old: Documentary & Forum
After the 48-minute documentary, No Place to Grow Old, a conversation and forum with local experts from NW Pilot Project, PSU, REACH, will aim to lift up the stories and lives of those impacted by houselessness and lift up the work of the community and work being done to address housing needs and dignity in our community.
is a powerful exploration of the rising crisis of senior homelessness in Portland, Oregon. The film uncovers the systemic challenges and deeply personal stories of those unexpectedly finding themselves with no place to call home.
The continues to work to inform and connect neighbors around the issues that matter most to them. Portland's affordable housing and the challenges facing older adults. All are welcome for this free event for the whole community, Mount Tabor and beyond!
FOOD DRIVE
You’re invited, from your abundance, to bring shelf-stable food to share with our neighbors who are seniors living below the poverty line at some of REACH CDC’s affordable housing locations.
LOCATION
This event is hosted at Tabor Heights United Methodist Church in the Sanctuary. Main entrance doors are located off of Stark. An ADA All-gender bathroom is by the main entrance.
This event is co-hosted by the Mount Tabor Neighborhood Association and Tabor Heights United Methodist Church.
