Welcome to a night that defines categorization. "No More Stereotype" is not just a standard club night—it is a full-scale, hybrid cultural festival taking over all three floors of Publika. We are merging the vibrant, eclectic energy of East Asia with the organic, dynamic spirit of Belgium. Expect a joyful, genre-fluid sonic collision of Pop, Electronic, Jazz Funk, Glitch Hop, and Pop Rock, seamlessly combined with visual arts and mixology.

The Experience – Three Floors of Exploration
- Ground Floor: The Groove (DJ Party) The rhythmic heartbeat of the night. A highly danceable curation featuring an international lineup of DJs from Japan, China, and Belgium. Leave your expectations at the door as the dancefloor bounces to a seamless, upbeat blend of sophisticated Jazz Funk, head-nodding Glitch Hop, and eclectic Pop-Electronic hits. It is a celebration of modern global pop culture and forward-thinking club grooves.
- First Floor: "Oriental Mirage" (Exhibition) Step away from the dancefloor and into a curated visual realm. The "Oriental Mirage" exhibition offers a space of artistic exploration and cultural aesthetics. While absorbing the visual art, brace yourself for our exclusive event signature cocktail—a daring 55% ABV concoction designed specifically to elevate your senses and fuel the night's uninhibited energy.
- Second Floor: Live Fusions & Pop Rock Euphoria As the night deepens, the top floor transforms into a high-energy live music sanctuary. Handpicked local Ghent-based bands will take the stage, delivering a dynamic Pop Rock concert experience that shatters the boundaries between a traditional live gig and a modern party.
✨ SURPRISE GUEST: Maestro Guo Gan (Live Erhu x DJ Crossover)
The absolute pinnacle of the event. We are incredibly honored to present a groundbreaking live crossover set by world-renowned Erhu virtuoso, Maestro Guo Gan.
A true pioneer of global cultural fusion based in France, he is the first Chinese traditional musician to be knighted by the French government as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres . Globally celebrated for his cinematic contributions ( Kung Fu Panda 3 ) and collaborations with legends like Hans Zimmer , Guo Gan breaks every traditional mold.
What to expect on stage: This is a strictly one-off masterclass in musical dialogue. Picture our resident DJ laying down an infectious, syncopated foundation of Glitch Hop beats and bouncy Jazz Funk basslines. Center stage, Maestro Guo Gan plugs his ancient, acoustic two-stringed instrument directly into the club's sound system, improvising and riding the groove in real-time. It is an intense, joyful, and visually stunning performance—ancient acoustic heritage meeting the vibrant, rhythmic energy of modern electronic music.
