About this Event

Join us for one night only as Tzūr TheSojourner and Teka Briscoe perform an original, live re-scoring of the Reverend Harris episode of No Matter The Water, the podcast about how South Louisianans stay rooted on the Gulf Coast no matter what the weather brings.

Reverend Harris has pastored Evergreen Baptist Church in DeQuincy for over twenty years, and he's turned hurricane preparedness into a ministry. His story is about faith, neighbors, and being ready before the storm comes. Tzūr and Teka are telling it their way: through music, performed live in the room with you.

After the performance, stay for a panel conversation with the artists, Reverend Harris himself, podcast creator Rachel Nederveld, and moderator Maria Zeringue Director of Louisiana Folklife Program.
