Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and the No Man’s Land Film Festival both focus on raising awareness and advocating for gender equity, safety, and justice, though they do so in different ways. Tying them together emphasizes the shared goal of challenging harmful narratives and fostering dialogue about women's rights, safety, and representation.By combining the themes of awareness, empowerment, and challenging harmful norms, both Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the No Man's Land Film Festival work toward creating a more just and equitable world where women's voices are valued, their safety is prioritized, and their potential is limitless. These two initiatives can amplify each other by creating spaces for important conversations about the realities women face, both in terms of violence and in pushing boundaries in the face of adversity.
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and showtime begins at 6:30 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $5 to the GVSU Victims and Survivor Support Fund.
