Lowell House Opera excitedly invites you to its 80th season: the world premiere of No Exit by Ethan Chaves.
Enjoy the rare experience of seeing high quality, heretofore unheard opera performed in a dining hall. Don't miss it!
No Exit by Ethan Chaves is an interpretation of the psychological masterpiece by Jean-Paul Sartre. No Exit powerfully reveals how human beings perceive and value themselves through the eyes of others, culminating in the most famous line in 20th century theater: "Hell is other people." Audiences will experience an immersive staging and an intimate and inventive sound world. Chaves invests his score with elements of live electronics, jazz, rock, cabaret, and many other musical idioms. To perform and produce this extraordinary new work, Lowell House Opera brings together current students, emerging professionals, and seasoned opera veterans. Come experience this newly commissioned masterpiece in Lowell House Dining Hall. Lowell House Opera presents No Exit March 27, 28, and 29th at 8:30pm. Tickets available through the Harvard Box Office. More information at lowellhouseopera.com.
