The University of Alaska Anchorage Hugh McPeck Gallery is proud to present the 36th Annual No Big Heads Exhibition, a national juried self-portrait competition of limited size.Join the Hugh McPeck Gallery in welcoming this year's juror for No Big Heads, ceramics artist George Rodriguez! Born and raised in the border city of El Paso, TX, George Rodriguez creates humorous decorative ceramic sculpture addressing his identity and community.
Attend this special lecture for a conversation with George about the intersections of community and identity. Then, join us Thursday, September 30th, for the opening of the No Big Heads Self-Portrait competition, and see the pieces on display and selected works to be awarded with up to $2,000 in cash prizes!
The No Big Heads Annual Exhibition will be on display through October 20th, 2021.
