NNACoE Blanketing Ceremony

We would like to invite you to join us for the Northwest Native American Center of Excellence’s Blanketing Ceremony celebrating our scholars completing the Wy’east Pathway and students graduating from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and Residency Training.

The Blanketing Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 6th from 2:00-4:00pm at the Portland State University Native American Student & Community Center (PSU NASCC). The event will be held in person and will also be live streamed for family, friends, and community to join safely and remotely.*

*PLEASE NOTE* Since the event is in an indoor space, all attendees for the in-person celebration must meet the Vaccination Requirements of the PSU NASCC below in order to attend. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test will be collected at the event.

PSU NASCC Vaccination Requirement:

PSU requires that non-PSU attendees 12 years and older show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test to attend indoor, in-person events held on campus.

Valid proof of COVID-19 vaccination is either a hard copy or a picture of a vaccination card showing a vaccine series was completed at least two weeks prior to the event date. Documentation of a recent (within the last 48 hours) COVID-19 test with a negative result is either a printout or picture of results that include your name and test date.
