Njigari bamboo forest trek(moderate)

This trail never misses to awe you; this forest is a jungle you want to call home. We start off at Njigari Forest office and into the bamboo forest. Under the cover trees, feel the awe of the thick bamboo forest. The trail leads to Thuti falls near the source of Thuti River which arguably cuts across Nyeri County joining Gura down the valleys into Sagana. We continue up into a clearing that will be our lunch spot with beautiful views of Njigari valley along the trail possible views of Gura falls from a distance. We proceed to Gitonga Falls and then walk down following yet another river, Gura River and the thunder of the river and beautiful singing from the birds will cheer you down to our finishing point.
The trail is approximately 18km long and will take 6-7 hours to complete.

What to wear and items to carry
Comfortable running shoes or hiking boot
Hiking/gym pants (avoid jeans)
Polyester T-shirt (like the football jerseys) carry an extra one to change after the hike
Head-torch
A change of clothes after the hike and for your travel back to Nairobi
Sunglasses
Hat/cap
