Niwot Trot 5K Run/Walk - 2026

Join students, families, teachers, staff, alumni, and community members for the 17th Annual Niwot Trot 5K Run/Walk!

This beloved community tradition features a flat and fast 5K (3.1-mile) course winding through Niwot's beautiful back roads and crushed gravel paths. Whether you're racing for a personal best, walking with friends, pushing a stroller, or cheering from the sidelines, there's a place for everyone at the Niwot Trot.

Bring your friends, neighbors, and family - everyone is welcome to run, walk, stroll, or trot!

• Overall male and female awards
• Fastest boy and girl in each grade recognized
• Exciting raffle prizes and awards ceremony
• 100 Mile Club qualifying miles (5K)
• Free pre- and post-race coffee and fruit

All proceeds benefit Niwot Elementary through PTAC, helping support programs, enrichment opportunities, and resources for our students and staff.

We're committed to making the Niwot Trot more environmentally friendly while maintaining the great race experience you've come to expect.

To reduce waste, we will once again be eliminating disposable paper cups at aid stations. Participants are encouraged to:

• Reuse their HydraPak SpeedCup from last years previous Niwot Trot
• Bring a reusable water bottle
• Carry their own hydration solution if preferred

Aid stations will be fully staffed and stocked with water to keep participants hydrated throughout the course.
