Nishy Acsell is a first-generation Indian-American comedian who learned English watching South Park and The Simpsons — so naturally, her sense of humor came with the language.
A regular at the world-famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood, Nishy created and performed on her own successful sold-out monthly show, Punchlines Only, featuring some of the best comics in Los Angeles. The only time she missed a show was when she went into labor. She would've delivered the baby on stage, but apparently the maternity ward had better lighting.
Nishy has featured for comedy legends Russell Peters and Jay Leno, appeared on Peacock, and was a featured comedian at the first-ever Netflix Is a Joke Festival in 2022.
She's also appeared on Big Boy's Oh! Sesh, roasting veteran comedians and getting the last laugh. Her comedy has quickly found an audience online, gaining more than 30,000 social media followers in just six months.
Before comedy, Nishy spent years in corporate America, giving her plenty of material about work, life, family, and the everyday insanity we can all relate to. From the cubicle to the Comedy Store, her sharp writing and hilarious perspective have made her a comedian you don't want to miss.
Now she's bringing it to Post Falls, Idaho!
