Lula Music presents a night of South Asian sounds as part of the 2024 Lulaworld Festival.Nishat K & Shallum X

As part of the 2024 Lulaworld festival , the South Asian vocalist Nishat Khair and guitarist Shallum Xavier embark on a musical odyssey transcending borders and genres as they fuse ghazals, qawalis, Bangla folk, iconic Indian and Pakistani songs with western rock and pop.
Shallum X
A founding member of the influential Pakistani band Fuzön, the award-winning guitarist, composer and producer Shallum X has recorded with artists such as Ali Azmat, Ali Haider, Najam Shiraz, Zeb and Haniya, Hadiqa Kiyani, and Strings and collaborated with Ingrid Kindem, Hildegun and Mocci (Fryd).
Nishat K
Instagram Calcutta-born vocalist Nishat Khair explores a wide diversity of musical genres from South Asian ghazals to urban pop. A trained Hindustani (Indian) classical singer, Nishat also studied vocals at the prestigious London College of Music. Since relocating to Toronto, Nishat has performed at Drom Taberna, The Festival of Light and the Tirgan Festival.
Shallum and Nishat will be joined by
