Ninja Warrior Self-Defense Camp @ ATX Tactics

Get ready for a fun week kick-full of mystery and martial arts! Campers will explore watchfulness signs of deception disguises ninja movements and Krav Maga and Jiu-Jitsu techniques. Rest assured that the skills learned in this camp come in handy for dealing with dangerous people like bullies or tricky adults.

This camp is filled with activities for: physical fitness self-defense confidence building assessing for deceit and danger how to keep a keen eye for things that look out of place and fun with new friends. Plus we’ll develop confidence and skills to avoid dangerous situations and people and how to talk about them to safe adults.

This exciting camp will be taught by ATX Tactics co-lead instructor Vanessa Swesnik whose background as a classroom teacher police officer and martial arts enthusiast provide the unique skill set required to teach self-defense to children. She loves working with children of all ages and is excited to bring developmentally appropriate games and activities to this lively group of 7 - 12 year olds. (Yes she will find teachable moments and capitalize on them at every chance she gets!)

There will be at least one additional instructor (TBA) to ensure a good adult to child ratio.

Daily Schedule:

Monday - Thursday

9am-9:45am Krav Maga / Jiu Jitsu (instruction drills games)

9:45am-10am Bathroom/Water/Clean Up/Set Up

10am-10:45am Krav Maga / Jiu Jitsu (instruction drills games)

10:45am-11:15am Ninja skills learning (Teacher led group reading and/or discussion and snack)

11:15am-11:50am: Ninja skills activities

11:50am-12:00pm: Just for Fun game

Friday

9:30-11:30am Review Krav Maga / Jiu Jitsu and ninja skills (drills games activities)

10:30am-12:00pm: American Ninja Warrior watching and snacks!

Who can attend?

Kids ages 7-12

No prior martial arts experience necessary

Important:

Enrollment numbers are capped at 18 children and the minimum is 6. In the case that we do not have 6 attendees enrolled 7 days before the start of camp camp will be canceled and you will be refunded.
