Nine PBS Playful Learning for Educators - Elinor Wonders Why Edition!

Dive into playful learning through the lens of science. In this three-part professional development, we will explore how to integrate purposeful play through hands-on learning and incorporate literacy and social-emotional learning along the way. We will also introduce learning strategies such as charting observations using senses and a Wonder Wall. The Wonder Wall is a tool that honors students’ questions, supports student-directed inquiry, and provides authentic research opportunities. The Wonder Wall can be a piece of chart paper on a wall, a pocket chart, or a digital platform. It is a place to collect ‘’wonders" and to encourage children to stay curious and lead the learning process. It helps school learning to be meaningful and purposeful and applicable to children’s lives. Join us as we learn together.
