What is Night School?
Night School is an immersive, pop-up event series focused on knowledge exchange and creative collaboration. It brings together a diverse community of thinkers, artists, and professionals to explore new ideas through workshops and co-working experiences. It’s a space where individuals can spark their creativity, learn new skills, and connect with like-minded people. We partner dynamic knowledge producers with existing community spaces to bring meaningful learning experiences foster creativity, growth, and connection for adults.

About Our Speaker | Heather 'Byrd'
Heather ‘Byrd’ is an award-winning poet, author of Mahogany: A Love Letter To Black, and founder of Byrd’s World. Through storytelling and workshops, she empowers others to reclaim their creative joy while affirming the Black experience. Byrd amplifies aspiring writers’ voices, helping them move from their heads to the page. Her work has been featured in various journals and festivals, exploring the intersection of form and freedom with a distinctive blend of passion and cultural depth.

Burst into Books is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and CPS vendor committed to transforming lives through culturally responsive literature. Their mission is to support the community with access to resources and enrichment opportunities, while fostering the brilliance of Black voices to cultivate published authors. By integrating the arts and engaging families, Burst Into Books deepens young people’s love for reading and provides a creative space for self-expression and growth.
