Under the flickering lights of more than 1000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns families can explore the gardens at night enjoy pumpkin-carving demonstrations encounter thrilling entertainers and more. Each hand-carved jack-o’-lantern on display takes up to 10 hours to create. This year’s event will feature pumpkins carved into iconic album covers popular cartoons Dia De Los Muertos tributes and eerie scenes from haunted Chicago history.
Enjoy a frightfully fun fall evening. Dare to experience the Garden after hours. This year’s professionally carved pumpkins feature recreations of popular album covers haunted tales from Chicago eerie cartoons and more to get you in the Halloween spirit. You'll find costumed entertainers and live pumpkin-carving demos along our paved outdoor path as well as seasonal fare and drinks available for purchase. It’s (slightly) sinister fun for all.
Get a glow-in-the-dark temporary tattoo and stop by our selfie station for a festive photo op.
Event Details:-
This event will take place rain or shine. The Garden will close each day at 5 p.m. and will reopen at 6 p.m. for ticketed guests only (this does not include class participants). Tripods and monopods are not allowed during event hours.
- Hours: Oct. 16-20 and Oct. 23-27; 6:30-10:30 p.m.
- Pricing*: $ 21-24.50 for adults $14-17.50 for children from age 3-12 free for children from ages 2 and under.
- Parking: $25 for day-of parking $15 for advanced parking free for members

Advance ticket pricing is available through October 16 while space is available. Day-of ticket pricing starts October 17 for any available slots. Prices above reflect members/nonmembers.
Parking:-
Parking fee applies for all general public ticket holders. Buy parking online in advance to save or you can become a Garden member and always park for free. Parking fee does not apply to those arriving via a ride-share vehicle. Limited complimentary parking for the following: active duty U.S. military personnel and/or their families reservists and former POWs. Please show valid ID at the gatehouse upon entry. Note: Complimentary parking for corporate partners reciprocal members (i.e. Morton Arboretum Cantigny Park) and teachers link WIC card holders and Museum Passports does not apply to nighttime ticketed events.
