Grenoble riders, mark your calendars! We are super-duper excited and honored to announce that Nicole Shahinian Simpson of Lexington, KY and Wellington, FL will come teach a clinic for our students on October 11-12, 2025.
Nicki was the finest junior rider of our generation, winning both the Medal and Maclay equitation finals, and being named Best Child Rider on a Horse at all of the leading horse shows in the U.S.--and she did it riding a variety of horses, without owning her own. They called her the Catch Riding Kid and featured her in the New York Times and all the horse magazines for her freak talent. From there, she went on to represent the U.S. internationally in show jumping, competing in multiple World Cups and being short listed for the U.S. Olympic show jumping team. Her two kids have also become talented grand prix jumper riders, carrying on a family riding tradition that is now several generations long, as Nicki's parents were riding instructors and trainers.
What we really appreciate about Nicki is that she was raised in a riding school, was a self-described barn rat, and really believes in the riding school mission of educating a wide variety of riders to communicate effectively with a wide variety of horses.
This is a very special opportunity to welcome a world class horse person to our farm for a great learning opportunity, and the sign up sheet is in the barn! Riders will ride both Saturday and Sunday. Nicki is supportive of riders at all stages of their riding careers, and all of our riders are welcome to sign up.
