Nice To Meet You Poetry Showcase

Nice To Meet You: A Poetry Showcase ✨

New faces, familiar souls, and words that bring us together.

Come through for Nice To Meet You, an evening where poetry meets connection, community, and a little friendly fun! Join 7uave at Café Resistance on November 6th for a showcase that invites you to do more than sit back and listen — come engage, laugh, play, and connect through the magic of spoken word.

Hosted by the luxurious Shay Marchanay

Featuring two prominent Duval poets, Reign Supreme and Black Haze, as our openers, this night celebrates the voices and creative spirit that make Jacksonville's poetry scene so special.

Expect captivating poetry features, interactive audience moments, engaging games, and light refreshments in a space made for good energy and new connections. Whether you're a longtime lover of poetry or simply curious about the world of spoken word, there's a place for you here.

And this gathering carries a purpose beyond the mic. All proceeds will support 7uave's journey to compete nationally as a Florida representative at Exit 36 in December. Your presence helps carry Duval's voice beyond our city limits and onto a national stage.

So bring a friend, meet somebody new, and let the words work their magic.
