Following the smash Fringe Festival hit "Diary of a Techie," Out of Pocket, Inc. continues its SEVENTEENTH season with this hilarious and sharp-tongued comedy, the Western New York premiere of Melissa Ross's "Nice Girl."
Directed by Bridget Blakley, the cast features Gina Menzer-Kunz, Tiffany Staropoli, Ron Dufort, and Marge Mattioli.
In suburban Massachusetts in 1984, Josephine Rosen has a dead-end job, still lives with her mother, and has settled into the uncomfortable comfort of an unintended spinsterhood. But when a chance flirtation with an old classmate and a new friendship at work give her hope for the possibility of change, she dusts off the Jane Fonda tapes and begins to take tentative steps towards a new life. A play about the tragedy and joy of figuring out who you are and letting go of who you were supposed to be.
Performances at the MuCCC will be December 13th, 14th,19th, 20th, and 21st at 7:30 PM and December 15th at 2:00 PM.
