A Sunday afternoon -evening of Argentine Tango in one of Manchester’s most iconic and historic old theatres.
The Niamos Theatre is a truly special place to dance. With its stunning architecture, beautiful wooden floor, atmospheric lighting, excellent sound system and welcoming bar, the theatre is transformed into another time and place, capturing the spirit, elegance and energy of the great milongas of Buenos Aires.
Throughout the year we host workshops, performances from esteemed guest maestros, live music sets, and appearances from both international and local guest DJs.
This Sunday 16 September we present a classic afternoon➡️evening of traditional Tango Tandas
Our Manchester tango community is renowned for its warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and inclusive social environment. Whether you are a seasoned dancer ,visitor or new to social dancing we aim for you to feel at home.

• Excellent traditional tango music presented in classic tandas with cortinas by guest DJs
• Traditional floorcraft and cabaceo
• Authentic Argentine atmosphere
• Professional mood lighting
• Stage projections
• Beautiful wooden dance floor
• High-quality sound system
• Comfortable social seating with clear cabaceo sightlines around the dance floor
• Fully licensed bar
• Light snacks included in the entry fee
• Free street parking and easy access by public transport
