NI Lakers 2023 Summer Baseball Tryouts (Ages 13 - 19)

19U Idaho Seniors Single A division is open to players born on or after January 1, 2004, and reside within Bonner county. Juniors’ divisions (13 – 17 year old) is open to players born on or after January 1, 2006 and are at least 13 years old in the calendar year (2023); are currently in grades 7-12; and reside within Boundary, Bonners and Kootenai counties.

The season will begin mid-May and potentially continue into early August. The goal is to compete in 30+ games against both American Legion and Travel/Club Teams in the Northwest. Goals of the American Legion baseball program are to create an environment that will allow dedicated players to realize their capabilities as baseball players; to prepare them for the next level of play by developing sound fundamentals, confidence, self esteem and poise as athletes; to understand that their achievements are a direct result of their attitude and effort; to cultivate lifelong friends among their teammates and to support each other in all situations; to understand that sportsmanship, not showmanship, is an important ingredient in playing with class and that we play the game to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

The coaching staff is comprised of current & former high school coaches, college players, and are or will be NFHS certified. Player development begins with Coach develop and in the off season the coaching staff collectively logs 300+ hours of continuous learning while attending various coaching conferences including the ABCA.
