Ngāti Hangarau Kids Big 3 2026 @ The Bethlehem Sports Club
Registrations open Monday, June 15th. $50 per team. Must register your team under an adult that is a member of the Ngamanawa hunting club, Bethlehem sport club or Whakapapa to Ngāti Hangarau.
Comp will start on Thursday, July 16th 6am, and finish on Sunday, July 19th 12pm
Weigh in on July 19th 12-1pm at Bethlehem sports club
Kids games at 12:30pm - Kids carrying comp etc
Food trucks and a bouncy castle are available
Prizegiving 1:30pm
Comp Rules
- 30 Teams of 3 kids, 15 years and under
- Start hunting July 16th 6am, and finish on July 19th 12pm
Big 3 section
- 1 possum, 1 rabbit, and 1 game bird or pest bird, weigh all 3 in for your total weight. The 3 teams closest to the average win a prize
- 1 entry per team
Pig Section
- Sows or Boars, The 3 teams closest to the average win a prize.
- 1 pig weighed per team
- Follow all laws and firearms safety.
Colouring in Comp
- A picture will be uploaded on here for you to print out and complete, or there will be copies on the day.
Picture Comp
- Take a photo of your team out there doing during the comp, upload it to this event page. The winner will be announced at the prize giving
Kids Carry Comp
- There will be 6 sections. Girls and Boys 7 and under, 8-11, 12-15.
