About this Event
(NGOCSW68) Breaking Barriers: Empowering Children through Performing Arts Education and Storytelling
Children and adolescents living in poverty often lack sufficient environmental resources. Due to the absence of parental guidance and educational support at home, coupled with underperformance in academics and a lack of interest or skills in other areas, their self-confidence low.
They begin to doubt their potential for a different life path than the previous generation. This limited self-belief extends to their career choices, leading to a cyclical perpetuation of poverty through generations.
In this forum, we invite NGOs from Taiwan, the United States, France, and Nigeria, representing a spectrum of music and dance domains. They will share how performing arts can help underprivileged children gain confidence and break the cycle of poverty. Additionally, we will explore the impact of such educational support on the self-efficacy and self-perception of young girls.
Come join us at The Salvation Army International Social Justice Commission for an event like no other! We are passionate about empowering children through performing arts education and storytelling. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young individuals. Don't miss out on this chance to be a part of something truly special!
