NO GODS, NO MANAGERS are hugely proud to bring to The Ostrich Inn, all the way from the Netherlands via Germany, TIM VANTOL!
We've known Tim for many, many years having first put him on back in 2009. Since then we've been lucky enough to stay good friends and also helped out with more shows but the last time NGNM's had him in the UK was 2013! This is going to be really special.
“Tim Vantol is a Dutch singer-songwriter and acoustic musician born from Amsterdam. He is known for blending punk rock energy with folk and acoustic songwriting, creating emotionally honest songs about travel, friendship, resilience, and everyday life.
Vantol began his solo career in 2009 with the album Road Sweet Road after previously playing in punk bands, including a brief stint with Antillectual. Since then, he has built a strong following across Europe through extensive touring and albums such as If We Go Down, We Will Go Together, Burning Desires, Better Days, and Somewhere In Between. His music is often compared to artists like Chuck Ragan and Frank Turner for its blend of heartfelt lyrics, gravelly vocals, and folk-punk spirit.”

WEGROWBEARDS – another of our all time favourites ever, WEGROWBEARDS are a folk-punk trio from Dorking,, known for combining fast, energetic punk with history-inspired storytelling. Formed in the late 2000s, the band writes songs about significant historical events, social struggles, and forgotten stories—from the Peterloo Massacre and the Battle of Cable Street to the Irish potato famine, the Dust Bowl migrations, and the Haswell colliery disaster. Their distinctive blend of driving melodies, singalong choruses, and thoughtful lyrics has earned them a loyal following within the UK folk-punk scene.
After releasing their debut album Gunpowder, Treason and Plot in 2011 and the The Americas EP in 2013, the band returned after a lengthy hiatus with new material, including the singles Haswell (2024) and Touched by the Reaper's Hand (2025), continuing their tradition of bringing overlooked historical stories to life through passionate, socially conscious songwriting.

A GREAT NOTION – we couldn't have Tim without having A GREAT NOTION! The local DIY easy-core punk band are known for their upbeat blend of melodic punk, pop-punk, and hardcore influences. Since forming in the late 2000s, they've built a reputation for energetic live shows, heartfelt songwriting, and an independent, DIY approach to making music. Their songs balance catchy hooks with honest lyrics about friendship, growing up, and navigating everyday life, all delivered with a sense of humour and optimism.

DAS KAPITANS – The prolific Das Kapitans, are a DIY indie punk band from the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire borders, known for their fuzz-driven guitars, catchy hooks, and energetic live performances. They combine garage punk, indie rock, and post-punk influences with sharp songwriting, balancing humour, social commentary, and heartfelt storytelling. The band are also the founders of the independent label Socks On Records and have become well known for their fiercely independent approach to writing, recording, and releasing music.
