Milwaukee writer Nghi Vo appears at Boswell with her latest, The Scarlet Ball, a razor-sharp subversion of romance tropes and nightmare of manners. In her new novel, Vo's fusion of history and fantasy does for Edith Wharton what her acclaimed debut The Chosen and the Beautiful did for F Scott Fitzgerald. Vo will be joined in conversation by Jim Higgins.
